Congratulations to the organizers of the vintage rally held last weekend here in the village of Bonmahon. There was a lot of preparation involved and lots of sandwiches to be buttered! The rally was in aid of Bonmahon lifeguards and the Bonmahon Tidy Towns. It was very well supported and people travelled from Clonmel and other parts in their beloved vehicles to take the scenic route down by the Copper Coast, around by Newtown & Stradbally and returning to Bonmahon for refreshments. The tractors took a shorter route, through Kill & Ballylaneen but none the less looked equally as impressive. Bonmahon Joinery was represented in the Rally itself by John & Mary Roche, driving the lovingly restored Wolseley Hornet while Gillian Roche was busy with the refreshments & organization of vehicles. Everyone enjoyed the day and the monies raised is going to two very good causes.
